Mobility in Motion, one of the UK’s leading experts in vehicle adaptations, is developing a brand-new car purchase plan designed to make owning an adapted car easier, more flexible, and more personal than ever before.
This new initiative aims to give people greater choice and independence through accessible vehicle ownership — and invites the public to help shape it.
Take the survey: Have your say and help shape the future of accessible vehicle ownership
Building on years of experience in providing bespoke vehicle adaptations and expert assessments, Mobility in Motion’s new plan offers a comprehensive, supported route to adapted car ownership, from a free mobility assessment through to delivery, with adaptations fitted and ready to drive.
Unlike traditional options, this upcoming service will focus on personalisation and independence, helping customers choose, adapt, and own a vehicle that truly fits their individual needs and lifestyle.
Seeking insights from the public on adapted vehicles
As part of the development phase, Mobility in Motion is now inviting people to share their feedback and register their interest. The goal is to gather insights directly from drivers, passengers, and families to ensure the service reflects real-world needs.
“We know that everyone’s mobility journey is different,” said Matt Fieldhouse, Group Managing Director at Mobility in Motion.
“For many people, finding and fitting the right adaptations can seem like a complex process, and existing options don’t always provide the flexibility or ownership people want. This new plan is our way of changing that. We’re creating something new for the UK market and we want to shape it with the people who’ll benefit most.”
Mobility in Motion has worked closely with the Motability Scheme for many years, supporting Scheme customers with specialist vehicle adaptations and expert assessments.
Through this partnership, the team has gained a deep understanding of the diverse mobility needs of UK drivers, and Mobility in Motion will continue to help Motability Scheme customers access the right adaptations.
Building on that experience, this new initiative aims to provide an alternative option for people who fall outside the Motability Scheme, offering the same level of care, expertise, and independence-focused support.
How the new car purchase plan works
The plan will include:

Advertise With Crip Life™
The Crip Life™ advertising strategy is “Pay What You Can (PWYC).” We know this is very different to most if not all, online magazines. PWYC is a business model that doesn’t insist upon set prices for its goods or services. Instead, it asks clients to pay what they feel the product or service is worth and what you can afford to pay.
We want to place adverts for a wide range of clients. So, whatever the size of the organisation, if you want to promote a product or service, contact Joanna Baker-Rogers.
