CUDDLES PUZZLES™ is a communication aid for non-verbal children and adults to help them communicate and express themselves. Invented by serial entrepreneur Isaac Prempeh, this device enables users to communicate and convey their feelings through the use of sound, lights, and controls.

Isaac developed it after helping family members, friends and work colleagues who have children with special educational needs. Through extensive market research, he found that there are currently no specific aids to help people communicate and express their emotions with others, and therefore chose to create a communication aid that’s simple, fun and useful for individuals with communication difficulties.

This device can be used to help conditions such as Autism, ADHD, dementia, and other non-verbal conditions.

How the CUDDLES PUZZLES™ communication aid works

The CUDDLES PUZZLES™ communication aid is a specially designed interactive device aimed at helping non-verbal children and adults express, understand, and manage their emotions. This tool combines tactile, visual, and auditory elements to create a multi-sensory experience that supports emotional awareness and communication.

At the heart of the aid is a puzzle board featuring the CUDDLES PUZZLES™ dog logo. Around this board are four LED light counters, each representing a specific emotion: sad (blue), angry (red), calm (green), and happy (yellow). These counters light up and emit sounds when pressed, allowing users to indicate how they are feeling without having to verbalise it – ideal for those who may struggle with emotional expression.

Users are given emotion cards with the dog logo printed on them. Each card has a space where users can write or draw what causes them to feel a specific emotion. This reflection encourages emotional recognition and personal expression. The cards are designed to be filled out and discussed with parents, carers, therapists, or educators, helping to initiate meaningful conversations.

The puzzle board also includes a movable dial that lights up and makes sounds when activated. This dial allows users to select emotions and interact with the board physically, further reinforcing their feelings through action and response.

All materials used are designed with sustainability and sensory sensitivity in mind. The LED counters are made from plastic with micro batteries, and the cards are made from recycled paper.

Overall, CUDDLES PUZZLES™ works by turning emotion identification into an engaging and supportive game, giving users a safe and creative way to express how they feel and connect with those around them.

This is an ideal product for health providers, learning centres, education services, families and disability charities.
