Graphic promoting BBC casting call for disabled contestants, featuring The Celebrity Inner Circle quiz show hosted by Amanda Holden alongside The Great British Sewing Bee, with bold text and show imagery inviting applications.

The BBC is inviting people across the UK to take part in two of its standout entertainment shows, as applications open for both The Celebrity Inner Circle and the next series of The Great British Sewing Bee.

From high-stakes strategy to hands-on creativity, these casting calls offer a rare chance for members of the public – including disabled contestants – to step into the spotlight and be part of primetime television.

Bring your knowledge and trust: apply for The Celebrity Inner Circle

Returning to BBC One, The Celebrity Inner Circle blends general knowledge with social strategy in a format where trust can be just as important as the right answer. Contestants are paired with celebrity teammates and must navigate alliances, second-guess opponents and make bold decisions under pressure — all in pursuit of a cash prize.

Hosted by Amanda Holden and filmed in Glasgow, the show has quickly built a reputation for its tense, unpredictable gameplay. Producers are now searching for applicants aged 18 or over who can bring personality, confidence and tactical thinking to the screen. Whether someone is a natural strategist, a quiz enthusiast or simply thrives in competitive environments, the casting team is looking for individuals who stand out.

Text reads: “THE CELEBRITY INNER CIRCLE – a returning quiz show for BBC One hosted by Amanda Holden.” It describes the show as “a game that combines STRATEGY, GENERAL KNOWLEDGE and GUT INSTINCT for a chance to win a cash prize.” The poster invites “FUN, CHARISMATIC and DARING contestants” to apply via email at theinnercircle@terntv.com and includes a QR code. Additional text states applicants must be 18+, legal UK residents, and available for filming in Glasgow in summer 2026, with full terms and privacy policy available via Tern TV. BBC One and Tern logos appear at the bottom.

The application process includes online auditions, making it more accessible for people across the UK to take part. There is also a broader commitment to inclusive casting, with encouragement for people from all backgrounds — including disabled applicants — to consider putting themselves forward.

If you require access to the application form in an alternative format, please contact the team on 0141 370 7229.

Filming is scheduled for early June 2026 in Glasgow. Please only apply if you will be available during this time. You will only be required for one filming day, but you may need a travel day on either side.

If you are interested in taking part, you should complete the application form by Sunday 17th May 2026, allowing enough time to showcase your personality and suitability for the show.

Sew your way to success: apply for The Great British Sewing Bee

At the same time, The Great British Sewing Bee is calling on talented home sewers to enter the famous sewing room for its 13th series. Known for celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and individuality, the show challenges contestants to produce garments under time pressure while impressing judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

The search is on for passionate amateur sewers who love creating their own clothes and have experience working with a range of garments, from menswear to childrenswear. While technical skill is important, producers are equally interested in personality, originality and a genuine enthusiasm for sewing.

Text at the top reads: “DO YOU LOVE SEWING?” A circular logo says “THE GREAT BRITISH SEWING BEE EST 2012.” Main text reads: “CALLING ALL SEWERS! We’re looking for the next bunch of talented home sewers to showcase their creativity and technical skills on the new series of BBC 1’s The Great British Sewing Bee! If you or someone you know is a brilliant amateur sewer then apply now!” A call-to-action button reads “applyforsewingbee.co.uk.” The bottom includes the Love Productions logo and the deadline: “Deadline: 8pm Wednesday 13th May 2026.”

You must be aged 18 or over and be a UK resident. As part of the process, you are encouraged to provide detailed information about your sewing experience, share photos of your creations and submit a video introducing yourself and explaining why you would love to take part. Including examples of both strengths and challenges can help give a well-rounded picture of each applicant’s journey.

The deadline for applications is 8pm on Wednesday 13th May 2026, and you are encouraged to complete the form as early as possible rather than leaving it until the closing date. Those who progress to the next stage will be contacted by the production team, while others are reminded that many successful contestants have applied more than once.

As with other BBC productions, there is a commitment to ensuring a wide range of people feel able to apply, including disabled contestants, helping to reflect the diversity of audiences watching at home.

The Great British Sewing Bee has previously featured disabled contestants, including Gill from Series 8, who has one arm and whose journey empowered her to embrace her identity, and Tereza from Series 9, a wheelchair user who impressed audiences with her creativity and determination; alongside them, the show has also included sewers with neurodiverse conditions and other invisible disabilities, reflecting a broader range of lived experiences on screen.

Anyone requiring further information or support with the application process, including accessibility or alternative formats, can contact the production team via email at applyforsewingbee@loveproductions.co.uk.
