There are also opportunities to meet with fellow local ‘Outsiders’ for organised events. It also offers support on relationships, sexuality, dating and sexual services, The Outsiders Trust is completely free to join, though it relies entirely on donations.

The site is free to join and gives you the chance to search through people’s blogs and explore a wide range of shared interests and ideas. As much a support network as it is a dating site, Disabled Passions gives you the chance to get to know people in a supportive atmosphere, without any pressure to take things further.

Enable Dating is another UK website that is exclusively for disabled people. Free to join, Enable Dating has an easy-to-use interface and emphasises the safety of users, with guides to staying safe online, and in the real world if you decide to meet up for a date.

The site uses an email system that allows you to get in contact with other users without revealing your personal details. There are also chat features and video messaging if you decide to take things a step further. There’s also a 24/7 help feature built into the website and a blocking system if anyone proves troublesome.

If you would like to give online dating a go, but worry about having to explain your disability to potential dates, this site could be the one for you. It is user-friendly, with a mobile version too.

Disability Match UK is one of the biggest dating websites. While most website users have some sort of disability, this site is also open to non-disabled users, who in the site’s own words; “look beyond an obvious disability and focus on the whole person and a possible relationship they might enjoy.” The website has also been adapted for smartphones and tablets, meaning it is easy to browse potential matches wherever you are in the world.

There are three different levels of membership to the site – free trial, gold and VIP. Members on a trial can view profiles and send a limited number of messages, while those at the other end of the scale with VIP membership have priority listing on the site and are featured on the homepage.

Disabled Dating 4U

Disabled Dating 4U started in the UK back in 2009 as a small site, but has since grown in popularity and claims to have thousands of new members joining it each day. It has now launched in the US as well, so members can view profiles from people in both countries. It is also one of the few dating sites used to connect singles on the hit TV show, The Undateables.

This dating site also has three membership options – free trial, gold and VIP.

Meet Disabled Singles

Whispers4u

It connects disabled people from all around the world, with users in countries such as the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia and many European countries. The site also reports on many of the success stories of its users, with pages dedicated to couples who have found love and even got married after initially meeting on the website.

In 2016, Whispers4u was a nominated finalist at the prestigious online dating industry, iDate Awards ceremony.

It is free to join but for a small upgrade price, it also offers live audio and webcam video chat with its disabled members. The website is accessible and user-friendly, with features like audio and visual guides to help you navigate with ease.

Able To Love You

Able To Love You is not only a UK site but also has a platform in the US, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland. You can start browsing any of the sites by signing up for free. You don’t need to create a profile, but simply state your gender, date of birth and email address. You will need to pay if you want to contact members or use any of the other services.

Abled Love
