Busy Life logo

Joanna Baker-Rogers is the visionary founder of Busy Life™, a brand dedicated to promoting inclusivity, empowerment, and positivity through sports and lifestyle products. Passionate about social change, Joanna believes in the power of communities to create a better world by fostering kindness, diversity, and accessibility. With a background in advocacy and a love for movement, she has built Busy Life™ to inspire people of all abilities to embrace sport and celebrate their achievements.

From the innovative Diversity Designs® collection to sustainable merchandise, Busy Life™ is more than just a brand – it’s a movement towards a more inclusive and supportive society.

Busy Life™ Ethos

At Busy Life™, we believe in the power of communities coming together to create positive social change. We strive to think, speak, and act in the best interests of others, especially those who may not be as fortunate as we are.

By doing so, we can all contribute to making the world a better place – not just for ourselves today, but for future generations.

We refuse to sit back and wait for change; instead, we take action on the things that matter to us. Above all, we believe in kindness – to ourselves and each other.

That’s why Joanna Baker-Rogers started Busy Life™. Her products have grown organically, reflecting our values, passions, and interests. She champions inclusion, kindness, smiles, and generosity in everything she does.

Joanna also loves staying active – running, swimming, walking her dogs, and more! She’s always thinking of new ranges and products to bring to our stores, ensuring that Busy Life™ continues to inspire and support our community.

The Busy Life™ Mission

Our mission, or business goal, is to empower and inspire everyone, regardless of ability, to take part in sports.

The Busy Life™ Vision

Our vision, where we aspire to be, is for everyone with a disability to be asked, “What sport do you play?” as a matter of course.

Diversity Designs®

The image is a montage showcasing various merchandise items featuring motivational sports-themed designs. The products include keychains, greeting cards, phone cases, and stickers, all unified by a purple gradient background and black-and-white silhouette illustrations of athletes engaged in different sports. Each product carries an inspirational message, such as: - "Shoot your shot! And show them bold! I do!" (depicting a wheelchair basketball player) - "Run, girl, run! And show them bold! I do!" (featuring a running athlete) - "Play your game! And show them how! I do!" (illustrating a wheelchair tennis player) - "The big pass! And you do too! I do!" (showing a soccer player in motion) The artwork focuses on inclusivity and empowerment, representing athletes of diverse abilities, including wheelchair users. The typography is elegant and motivational, enhancing the encouraging theme of the collection. The merchandise appears to be designed to inspire confidence, determination, and resilience through sports and physical activity.

When Joanna started Busy Life™, she envisioned an e-commerce business that harnesses collective purchasing power to create positive change.

Looking ahead, she also wants Busy Life™ to benefit its supporters. Building on the concept of affirmations, she aims to provide empowering and inspiring images that people can see and purchase. To achieve this, she created the Busy Life Diversity Designs® range.

Joanna recognises that not all sportsmen, sportswomen, and children are super fit, super slim, under 25, or able-bodied. This understanding led her to create the “Diversity Designs®” Collections, encouraging confidence in sports participation regardless of size, shape, age, or ability, while celebrating individual achievements.

These collections are truly inclusive, with a particular focus on parasport. They embrace diversity, inspire movement, and promote both physical health and mental well-being.

It is important to note that these T-shirts are not intended for workouts but are designed to be worn in between activities to:

1. Celebrate achievements.
2. Motivate to stay active.
3. Spread awareness about different sports and encourage others to get involved.

The current collections include:

  • Running
  • Ball sports
  • Tennis
  • Boccia
  • Winter sports
  • Archery

Additionally, the Move, More! Collection features designs for activities such as:

  • Dog walking
  • Yoga
  • Gardening
  • Other sports

Joanna is incredibly proud to have the support of elite parathletes Hannah Cockroft, Kym Crosby, Kirsty Bloor, and Stuart Bloor, all of whom endorse the Diversity Designs® range. She is also grateful for the support of Taz Anwar, a Hijabi runner from the Muslim community.

Additionally, Busy Life™ offers the SmileClouds™ range, a collection of clothing and accessories designed to support good mental health.

Notch Bracelets and Charms

The image is a montage featuring a collection of rings and bracelets with engraved words and phrases related to neurodiversity and disabilities. The rings are made of anodized aluminum in various colors, including red, blue, green, and purple. Each ring displays a partial or full word associated with different conditions, such as: - **"stamme"** (likely referring to stammering/stuttering) on a red ring. - **"wheel"** (possibly relating to wheelchair users) on a green ring. - **"myautism"** on a blue ring. - **"Down's"** (likely referring to Down syndrome) on a purple ring. - A bracelet with multiple beads, each featuring different words. Additionally, the montage includes snippets of text emphasizing empowerment and acceptance of conditions such as ADHD, autism, Asperger’s, and dyslexia. These messages challenge negative stereotypes and promote self-identity, such as: - "ADHD completes me." - "Dyslexia is a strength." - "Autism is unique." - "No cure for Asperger's—it's a difference!" The collection seems to advocate for neurodiversity and disability pride, encouraging individuals to embrace their unique traits and identities rather than viewing them as deficits. The jewelry serves as a statement of empowerment and inclusion.

NOTCH is an achievement bracelet designed for Notches (like charms, but different). Joanna’s designs celebrate her Diversity Designs® range and my commitment to empowering the special needs and disabilities community.
